A puzzle for you:
Genevieve Shabnar the gnome armourer has given your party a collection of 16 colorful dragon scales and asked you to thread them into a four-by-four pattern. In return, she will reward you with +1 scale mail armor.
In front of you (on the back-achingly low wooden worktable) are:
4 red Firedrake scales
3 green Wyrmscale scales
3 teal Wyvern scales
3 purple Deep Dragon scales
3 silver Serpent scales
There's only one problem... the magically imbued scales are from rival dragons, and must be threaded so that no type appears more than once in any horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
You turn to consult with Genevieve, but she has run off! Seems it's her lunch break. Can you stitch the scales together correctly before she returns?
