Our 100,000th Orderer!

🎉 We hit 100k orders! 🎉

We hit a huge milestone of 100,000 official orders!!?! Then, we sat down and had a chat with our 100,000th customer, Mariah Driggs.

Holy smokes! Order #100,000! Can you please introduce yourself?
Hi! I am Mariah Driggs and I live in Tempe, Arizona with my twin sister, husband, and chihuahua- Styx (pictured).

Hello, Mariah! Tell us, when you're not ordering awesome dice, what do you do?
I am a high school English teacher at Horizon Honors Secondary School in Phoenix. I am also going back to school for a D.A. in English Pedagogy at Murray State Univeristy.

Teachers are the best! What’s your favorite part of teaching?
Stories. I have always loved reading and telling stories. I have the joy of being able to do that all day long with teenagers who are passionate about the stories we tell and the world around us.

Amazing. Do you have any favorite hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy D&D, video games, roller skating, yoga, and creating stained glass in my spare time. I also love reading including Choice of Games and all things fantasy/sci-fi.

Sounds right up our alley, especially the roller skating. How did you hear about Dice Envy?
My twin sister! We are in a 5e campaign together, I'm the DM, and she told me about a mystery dice deal. She bought five sets and was excited to see what came. It took me a few days but I finally remembered to order too! I placed the exact same order that she did.

Ah yes, those $2 Mystery Starter Sets were a hit! What are you going to use yours for?
Mostly D&D, though I sometimes do use them at school with different instructional activities. Hopefully lots of successful shenanigans!

We're so glad to hear that, spreading the love of D&D to the kids of the world makes all of us so happy! Last question, how did it feel to be the $100k order?!
I was so surprised! When I ordered, I noticed that the number was 100000 and thought it was interesting but then forgot and moved on. I was thrilled that it actually meant I was order 100,000! I then felt a little bad that it was me and not my sister. But I am sharing the prizes with her!
